Dramatic Play

Dramatic Play

Child-directed dramatic play is one of the strongest influences in the development of a child’s self-esteem.  Skills are learnt organically and include:

  • language & reasoning
  • cooperation amongst peers
  • development of social skills
  • learning behavioral/impulse control with friends,
  • moral development as rules and guidelines are internalized
  • gaining a keen sense of fairness (right and wrong)
  • opportunities for emotional expression

Each classroom aged two and up will provide daily opportunities for dress-up, dramatic play and role play in our house and dress-up corners.
